Today, I'll try to share a recipe comes from Manado, Nort Sulawesi. This kind of cake can be made easily. You can also practice this recipe at your home. You can also modifying this recipe as you like, such as adding or reducing the coconut, or replace full cream milk with other type of milk as you like.
Before we practicing this recipe, I'll describe about the origin of the name of this cake. Klappertart comes from "kelapa (Indonesian) means coconut", because of one of the ingredient is coconut.
OK, here the recipe:
Ingredients:
- 500 ml full cream milk
- 75 g cornstarch
- 50 g wheat
- 150 grams sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla liquid
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 pieces of scraped young coconut
- 50 gr blue band
How to make:
- Cook all the ingredients except the egg yolk and coconut
- Cook until boiling and exploding
- Turn off the heat, add the egg yolks, stir rapidly
- Cook until boil briefly, then enter scraped coconut
- Turn off the heat, add 50 grams of blue bands, mix well
- Add a topping of cheese and raisins
- Chill in the refrigerator
